Watch what happens when a Virginia turkey hunter and American Hunter reader calls in something other than a gobbler on an early spring morning. Ouch!
-
Not uncommon out here either ... :yike:
I've called in several "yotes", a bob cat, and had a friend call in a cougar. One of the "yotes" actually grabbed my deke and when he realized it wasn't real, flipped his head and released his grip sending the deke spinning through the air ... and it happened so fast I didn't have time to push the safety off and get a shot. You get to see the craziest stuff while turkey hunting !
:dunno:

LOL. Sat there until he was attacked. Too Funny

Was he going to pet the pretty kitty or what? :chuckle:

lol, called one in while doe hunting with my muzzy, never seen the cat coming nor did it see me until it was at my foot,it laid back and hissed,I squeezed the trigger at point blank range and let go,when the smoke cleared, said bobcat looked like a wash rag,I had that pelt tanned and it still lays on the couch to date

That cat would not have gotten that close to me. :twocents:

:yeah:
:yike: I too called in a yote to my decoy a couple years ago. It ran up and put on the brakes a couple feet away. Entertaining.

I was amused by the noise the guy made when the cat jumped! :chuckle:

I had a bear check out my decoys one year, he sniffed the first one and tasted the second. In a minute of brain fart, I made a couple of yelps on my box call. That got his attention, he keyed on my blind and I realized my error. I quickly stood up before he could join me in the blind. He woofed as he ran down the hill.

Must be a serious photographer / videographer. He wanted his shot and not the one with the weapon!

Cute Lil guy. :chuckle:

Good video Bearpaw!! I called in a male coyote in Rearden 4 years ago. When he got about 8 yards from me and snarled at me I shot him in the face/head with a 12 guage. His 4 legs went stiff as a board. If a bobcat came in I would have done the same. We should take no chances, after all these are WILD ANIMALS WITH TEETH AND CLAWS. Thanks for sharing the video.
