Title: Oregon Antelope
Post by: fireguy459 on May 14, 2015, 11:46:59 PM: Who is putting in for Oregon antelope and how many points do you have? I am hoping we will finally draw with 17 points this year.

Post by: Bob33 on May 15, 2015, 07:14:26 AM: I'm at 12 but don't plan to draw. I started applying before I knew about a state called "Wyoming". It takes 15 years to draw in Oregon what you can do in Wyoming just about every year.

One and done when I'm drawn in OR.

Post by: willapawapiti on May 22, 2015, 08:26:58 PM: 16 points for antelope, been saving up for South Wagontire Unit for many years. Use to be a great unit, and my brother knows the area well. I noticed a only 5 tags this year & last, got to wondering why? Found some info on Ifish, apparently antelope population has crashed in that unit, bios say from huge coyote population. So I'll likely be looking for a new unit to draw next year. :(

Post by: Halo on May 22, 2015, 08:39:12 PM: It's not just that unit from what I hear. I'm not sure how much of a part the coyotes are playing in that but I did see a lot of coyotes in the Juniper unit.

I think coyotes and other predators really put a hurting on the fawns.

I'm in the same boat. Used up my elk. Don't remember how many deer points I have but I have a chunk of lope points sitting each year. I draw way more tags in Nevada anyway :chuckle: I'm pretty lucky there for whatever reason. Oregon got expensive for the quality of the hunts. I'd like to apply again someday but nevada has kept me busy enough

I think you should pay then go to a screen where you spin a slot machine type of wheel that instantly shows you what the results are.
