Now that the fact that I drew a Colorado G-12 Maroon Bells Mtn Goat tag has set in, it is time to go to work; start shooting, slack off on my running and substitute in more backpack workouts. Maps are on their way.
I have never had the opportunity to hunt goats before so any information on judging, habits and the like would greatly appreciated as would any information on the unit. Only 111 days to get ready to hunt an animal that has topped my list for years!
Thanks,
Andy

GOOD LUCK! You're about to get to hunt in one of the most beautiful places in the world! The Bells is an awesome area with a lot of goats!

Wow congrats.

Congrats Andy, the tag is well deserved!

Here's one from that unit. Shot three years ago.

Congrats on a great tag. Apparently my 3+5 points wasn't enough for my level of luck in Colorado :chuckle: I cant think of anything more fun to hunt than mountain goats. I doubt I will ever get another chance to hunt goats, not sure my body could take it any more anyway. You can not be in too good of shape. Maybe start training on the stair climber with a 70 pound pack while breathing through a straw. :chuckle:

Congrats Andy
Should be a hunt of a lifetime.
Nothing like a nice billy on the wall👊

Scree. How many points did you have. Congrats.

I had 3 preference points and 4 weighted points (pre draw). I still can't believe it, getting up early to work out is soooo much easier now :IBCOOL:
