Title: bush pilot
Post by: huntinelk on June 01, 2015, 06:08:30 AM
Hey guys I will be hunting Alaska in 2016 and have 2 questions. The first is can I get some recommendations on bush pilots that fly in units 24 and 21. The second questions in the deposit how do I get a guaranty on services. I would think there would be a contract?

If it's a guided hunt the Outfitter sometimes set up your flight, check with them. If you are not using a guide talk to a booking agent they should be able to help. Good Luck on your trip.

Make sure the pilot is over 40, married, has children and doesn't wear a cowboy hat and you should be good to go.😉

What I'm getting at is would you ask for a contract or just send the deposit certified mail stating what the deposit was being used for. The pilot we are looking at using was  recommended by another person. The pilot has no web site and has not provided any references this sort of raises a red flag. What are your thoughts.
