Here is a picture of 1 of the bucks in Ocean Shores that has been hanging around our house. Pretty sure it was the same one last year that was a 3x3... He will be at least a 3x3 this year as well...

He is going to be wide for sure.
Love driving around Ocean Shores in the evening looking at deer.

I've got this guy 3x2 hanging around my place right where my archery targets are, 50yds!! They're nice to have around and watch as long as they stay out of the gardens.

Before we moved here we knew there was there but driving around when the sun is out... I counted 57 deer in 1 day just driving around the community. Last weekend I counted 63 with 4 new babies...

Very cool to see them out walking around without a care. I assume that changes a bit once hunting season opens...... even with the very limited area to hunt on the penninsula.
-
Nope..... They are here during hunting season. But no where to hunt them unless one crosses your path with your car!! Not allowed to hunt here. But I hope WDFW starts doing something soon cause they are getting our of hand!
-
pet, I name deer, they still eat the same :twocents:

I thought there were a couple of 40ish acre wildlife areas off the beach, somewhere between Long Beach and Ocean Park that were open, perhaps with a firearm restriction.
Deer in those numbers with no natural predators must really tear up the neighborhoods. They sure grow some nice racks over there!

No my brother in law took these pics in some neighborhood, apparently he's quite friendly

nice pics

We had a spike a few years back run into our truck in the middle of the night and broke its neck, truck was parked in the driveway. Kind of hard to explain to the insurance co. Our place is near the primary school.

Nice....we'll be there at the end of the month....Actually the few days before July 4th. Anyone want to get a pint?

You guys live by the Elementary School then?? Ya that's kinda hard to explain. The deer out here are stupid and I really hope they start to do something about them soon...

Couple streets over from it, vacation place though we dont live there. You in that area?
There were two coyotes in the yard making breakfast out of it when we got up, I assume the deer didnt realize we pulled in late that night and was being chased (they like cutting through the driveway) by the coyotes. Local LE came by and finished it off since it was still kicking a bit. Whish I would have taken pics of my truck, I had to have one side of the bed replaced.
-
L.E didn't let you have the deer? Probably out of season but they are usually cool and let you have it if you cut some up for the food bank.
-
Here's a photo of one over by the beach. There's a real giant that lives just south of the elementary school, but I've never had my camera when I've seen it.
-
There's a couple of dandys on the island a little further north towards the interpretive center/museum or whatever it is. There's also a really good group of boys that always hang just before the bridge.
-
Holy Cow!! I haven't seen that one yet.... But I did have this guy in my yard tonight looks to be at least a 5x4 but I think he will be bigger. I'm going to call him "FLOPPY EAR"
-
Nice!
-
That's a well fed buck. Look at the gut on him! How old do you think he is? 4? 5? 6?

I"m thinking about 5

As big as that belly is, it might end up being the buck I was talking about. It's been in the area south of the elementary school off of Mount Olympus everytime I or a friend has seen it.
-
He is over here off Ocean Lake Way between my house on Auriga Ave and the Beach Approach
-
It's fun watching the buck grow every year out here. But the Ocean Shores rut is the best! :)
