Looking at A flycreek 2 platinum and was wondering if anyone was using one ?
-
Not using one, but they're nice tents if you don't need high wind protection.
-
I'm not using one either but I'm going to pass it up when it comes time for me to buy a new little tent. I think I'd rather go with the Copper Spur in favor of the side entry double door feature.
Side by side...
-
I'd think if pitched properly it could handle some pretty decent storms....the head room looks awfully nice

i have the fly creek UL 3 and like it alot. side doors would make it better imo
-
I'm looking at this basically as a freestanding one-man tent so door orientation is not a big issue, I was looking at a two person trekking pole set tent but will use this as 2 to 3 day based tent in the Highcountry
Weight was a major concern but I also wanted a floor and freestanding that's how I've arose at this tent
Thanks for input guys !

Side doors are a lot easier to get into and out of.

I've been thinking of the UL2 vs Platinum.
Also looking at the Tarptent Rainbow.
Still not sure though...

Have the fly creek ul2 and ul3 both awesome tents, and handle weather awesome, simple as dirt to set up!

I also have the Big Agnes Fly Creek UL3. Nice to have the extra room to spread out, and can fit a second adult well when necessary. Has been my go to tent recently for solo/duo trips. Has held up to the wind fine for me, just stake it well.
