Is this an appropriate thread when so many of us need to start getting in shape for hunting season?  :chuckle:

I love a good burger with everything on it!

My sisters went to Conway Tavern yesterday they have pretty epic burgers.  Far better than campus u totem which are good just not epic.  I stayed home as I was already making bacon and pancakes.  I have never heard of the other places they must be trendy new hipster joints.  Chuckwagon also used to have yummy burgers, and for el cheapo no one can beat Dicks love me some Dicks deluxe and fries oh the greasy fries.

The Lunchbox Laboratory in Bellevue is really good, but it's $15 for a burger and fries. A little excessive for my budget. We've been wanting to try Adam's in Monroe for a while now...now I've got a good reason.
I love good food in general, but there's a soft spot in my heart for a good burger.

Mary's Burgers in Longview off Ocean beach Hwy near 46th is good. If you like hot, try the Bite You Back burger.

I'll be meeting a friend for lunch on Friday at the #1 Joint, Nick's Jr. Burgers & Gyro.  I'll report back on my test trip.  In looking at pictures of their food online, I can understand why they would be highly ranked.

Only one on the list I've eaten at was Cougar Country, and I've eaten there a lot.  Definitely one of the best burgers and crinkle cut fries around.

Have you tried burger madness in Monroe or Snohomish? They are the best burger I've had in recent memory and can hang with the homemade burgers. They will put as many pattys as you want on it,  if you do 10 or more (I think) patty's in a certain amount of time the burgers free.

I'll second Cougar Country. I liked it. They made mine a lettuce wrap and it was good and not dried out like Carl's.

Making venison burgers tonight. Speaking of dry burgers: I think I need to start adding pork fat or raw bacon. Cooked bacon bits and cheese throughout doesn't seem to import the Greasy McFatface necessary to keep them moist like a  real burger.

Best burger I ever had in WA was at the Puyallup Fair, the Earthquake Burger. Known for being huge, it was also delicious.  In the Southwest, we have In-and-Out. Always Fresh, never frozen.  :IBCOOL:

Counter, I mix deer/elk burger 50/50 with full strength beef. (About 23% fat)
It's worked for me for years, juicy but not unhealthy. Try a teriyaki marinade to really take it to the next level.

We'll try that teriyaki fo sho! We've been using wosterchire and soy sauce. its definitely not an issue of them being flavorful, just that its not the same as buying 80% hamburger, rolling up some patty's, and throwing them on the grill.  We've also had some luck pan cooking them in oil.

Got to give a report on the #1 place from that website.  I went to Nicks Jr today with a friend for lunch.  I had a burger that was on special called the porker.  It had 3 types of pork meats stacked on a handmade patty with cheese and all the fixings.  The burger had real good flavor and the breaded mushrooms I had on the side were real tasty as well.  My friend had the Gyro of the gods, he had no complaints.  He has eaten previously at Lunchbox Laboratories and I asked him which he would rate better.  He gave Nick Jr's the nod in quality and cost.  If your around Everett give these guys a try.

Here's their menu if interested:  http://www.nicksjrburgers.com/menu.html

Address: 5821 Evergreen Way, Everett, WA 98203

:yeah: Huge improvement from what it was only a few years ago. Also a great place to stay if you're looking for a room in Raymond.
