Title: 2015 Vulcan Mountain Sheep Hunt
Post by: bentley30-06 on June 27, 2015, 04:46:08 PM
My dad was lucky enough to get drawn for chowder ridge goat hunt last year and we had a blast and he tagged out on a nice goat and this year I checked his permits for him and as luck would have it he drew Vulcan Mountain Bighorn Sheep tag.  He said that he is very familiar with this unit and has knowledge of the sheep patterns in this unit.  I was just asking where there are ideal spots for a large trailer to camp near decent sheep area.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  I plan on making it over there this summer to check it out as well.

Stotts RV Park. Cheap, clean and close to town, bar too, like 3 blocks. Showers, power etc. You can camp out at Beal Park about 10 miles west of town. Free, but everything is a lot farther away. No propane in Curlew, CFN gas only ( had trouble with it working ) then 20 miles one way to Republic. Stotts is your best best. Safe too.
