Title: Oak Creek elk with weird hoof
Post by: Elkstuffer on January 08, 2009, 08:31:41 PM: Anyone see the small 5 pt bull (with Collar) that was limping. His right front hoof is growing straight out parallel with the ground and then curls up like an elk shoe? Is this the hoof rot that others are talking about? Just curious.

Post by: Head-shot on January 08, 2009, 08:34:22 PM: Sounds like his hooves need to be trimmed. I've seen it in some of out cattle when they were in soggy pastures and don't wear down the hoof.
