Title: Can deer or predators see silver cerakoted upper and lowers??
Post by: DJ_Mack on July 10, 2015, 01:12:35 PM: I have a .308 that is cerakoted in silver, and I want to use it for hunting. I'm pretty sure deer wouldn't see it but I would like your guys input also. And what about other animals (coyote, cougar, bear)? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks guys!

And plenty of stainless steel rifles kill all the critters you mentioned. I think you'll be fine.

That would stick out in the woods like a whitetail's tail. I had a whitetail come into an area and about at 80 yards he stopped and looked right at me through the small shooting space I had and saw my face all lit up by the morning sunshine. It took him about a second and a half to turn and run. So they would surely spot a shinny receiver or barrel. Stainless is pretty and weather resistant but easy to spot.
