Drew the Perryagyn late tag and want to see what 170+ mulies look like. Dont have one yet so want to see what im looking for. May have to have a live wire video feed to Boneaddict and ask him for every buck I see lol.
-
Come on now, where's "Perryagyn" :chuckle:
-
got one but don't know how to post it up.
-
pretty much when you see a buck and think "holy there a 180 buck! :yike: its probably a 160-180 buck. at least when i do it :chuckle:
-
WT
-
Perryagyn is that real secret spot :chuckle:
No whities :)
-
My first year guiding in Montana, I shot this guy in between the first hunt and the second. Being raised up on hunting magazines, I thought most mule deer got this big. Two or three hunts later I fully appreciated him. My one and only mule deer.
-
What he score. Been doing some reading on estimating. Big front forks is good 😄
-
Score escapes me. It wasn't an official score. That just ain't for me. 180 something. Deep forks are good.
-
Mtnmuley, sent ya a pm.
-
Suspect both of these old boys are pretty close-don't know as they were never scored. Do know the one on the left measured 37 1/2" and had a total of 23 points. One on right is just about exactly 30" spread
-
That right hand buck is killer. Which one are you?
-
Truthfully, I'm the one behind the camera. My younger brother on the left, older on the right. Those are the two biggest of 14 total bucks our family shot over the opening weekend-3-4 others were pretty close but the one on the left won our dollar apiece camp big buck contest. (widest spread only) Those were the days!!
-
Ya those are dandys.
-
Ok. Was gonna say glad I'm not the only long hair' round here. Fantastic bucks.
-
Are those two Washington bucks? The one on the right is way cool.
-
Those were taken in Utah in about 1965 I think. Still big deer in the area they were taken, but all private ground now.

General season mod rifle 224 buck. Was right around 161 . Hope I can draw that late tag someday.
Congrats and good luck!
-
Here is one of mine 175"
-
I was told around 170, but I never had it measured and I have no idea as to his real score. Thick bases, very high and pretty lengthy throughout. Of my 38 bucks taken, this was the largest bodied deer of all. I'm not 'long' armin' him at all either as you can see, but this surely doesn't mean that with fish pictures, I'm totally innocent....... :chuckle:.
Not a wall hanger for some, but he now stares at me each time I make a trip downstairs..... :) Took him @225 yds. while kneeling on the highest snow patch in the picture. Steep shot......oh boy!
Whatever the score, I had a blast on that particular trip.

Here's last years general season buck.

Don't get too hung up on score. You will know it's "the buck" when you see him.

Yep that's what I'm betting on, when I see the "one" I'll know. Just wanted an idea of different size bucks.

Thanks, the mount was done by Alden's Taxidermy. I lucked out and picked up the antlers so I could show my brother a couple days before the fire at his shop. My cape was in another building. Once he got his new shop done he called me and finished it for me.

Here's last years general season buck.
My God, another ripper!! Damn I love mule deer!!

Kirk,
Congrats on the tag. I know you have been waiting a long time and will do the tag justice. My partner and I drew the tag in 2004. Didn't shoot a monster but had a great hunt. Love that winter range that time of year.
Good hunting!

Some really great bucks!!! But a few guys need to get them scored officially before they clam 170!!! :tung:

A few guys need to learn how to use the spell check button too. :chuckle:

170" clam! Now that's worthy of the record books.
