Hey guys,

Back at it with Cabelas points again.  Any thoughts on this tent?

Pretty heavy for a 2 person, 3 season tent.

A lot better than the 1st one from a weight standpoint.

Yah, that Marmot isn't a bad deal for 200 bones.

I have the Kelty tent in a 4 man and it is a good tent. It sets up easy and for a two pole tent it holds up well to the weather.

Agree.  Get around 4lbs and much under 4lbs gets expensive.

I have the 2.2 and it may say 6#'s but if you loose the heavy stakes it is a little lighter.  I have used it all kinds of time of the year including December westside hunts.  I works really well and actually handles snow and ice load better than I would have expected.  I have looked at upgrading but it works so well as it is now.  Plus I can save weight by loosing some myself and at this point that is much cheaper.

I would be torn, the Kelty is 5" longer and $70 cheaper.  The Marmot is lighter and much better ventilation.  I'm 6'4" so the Kelty may win.

I have this one which is in between for weight, but won't help you with points.  It's a fantastic tent.

That marmot is a good looking tent for the price. How is it size wise for packing? I am in the market for a new tent myself but am trying to find one that packs small as possible.

So I went into Sportsman warehouse and was looking at tents and it came down to the Marmot tungsten 2 and the Marmot traillite 2. They were both about the same, they were both $199 but the traillite 2 was on sale for $149 so I went with it. I really liked the colors of the tungsten 2 better but for $50 I figured I would go with the traillite 2.
