I am wanting to take my grandson ( 9yo) out to try shooting some carp. Is it too warm for bowfishing in eastern wa this time of year. I have shot at Potholes in early June but never this late into the summer.
We are traveling to Idaho this weekend, probably across I90, and I thought a stop to do some bowfishing would really round out the trip.
Any ideas?

Sorry, a little late considering you are probably already traveling but I would suggest south end of Moses Lake based off water clarity. Potholes will be murky as well as the northern end of the lake.

Friend of mine just got back from PotHOLES ...He to said water was murky but the managed to kill 20 or so ...he said fish were still hanging in shallow water ...I seen some at Roosevelt last week ..they were in close enough to shoot but a BIG SIGN SAYING NO BOW FISHING :yike: WTH ? Never heard of such thing !

Roosevelt is closed to the use of all weapons because it is controlled by the feds. I believe it's classified as a National Monument???
