The Ptarmigan may very well be a member of the grouse family but there is no season in Wa and it is illegal to shoot one here. A spruce grouse as a replacement thus making the display a true Wa grouse game bird trio.

This is just what a customer brought in doesn't really have anything to do with a Washington trio and the birds are not from Washington. If you would like a true Washington trio go harvest them and we can do them for you. We also appreciate that you are up on your game laws.
