Currently, the closest fires to that area are the Goode fire and Wolverine fire, both near Lake Chelan. If I remember correctly, Alta had a big fire last year.
Here is the map showing active fires throughout the northwest:

I think some of it burned closer to Carlton. The Poorman crk. Black Pine area did not burn.
But I think a good fire in the Butter Milk Crk area would do a lot of good as long as no homes were harmed. Some of area is way overdue for A good fire.

This of course has all changed with the current gold creek/ black canyon fire.

When that goes Ghost, and it will one of these days as its a Mecca for lightning. That's going to be a cloud of smoke into the stratosphere.

I heard on the news yesterday they were evacuating Alta lake state park. Anyone else hear that?
-
The fire map I saw this morning showed the fire was almost to it. I wouldn't doubt it.
Some of your tag is burning hot this morning. Beaver lake fire is blowing up.
-
Tag looks to be on fire. With the woods, and if they even have woods ppen

We were just going to the Koa with classmates. With the evacs happening it's not looking good. They probably don't want a lot of people there anyway. Still a week away so we'll see.
