I have a leatherman that I carry every day and would be lost without it. I also carry a pocket knife as well. I have carried it for probably 8 years now. The brand is Sheffield. It's been a great knife and my grandpa carried a old timer as long as I could remember. Just wondering what is your favorite brand of pocket knife.

Always got a Kershaw in my pocket
-
Swedish Army Knife....
-
Gerber. Only knives I own outside of 1 Buck knife in my hunting pack
-
Random knives made by old guys in the mountains
-
Swedish Army Knife....
:yeah:
I have a bucket load of knives but nothing compares to a MORA OF SWEDEN or a Runa out of Montana the old mans ones not the kids.
-
Kershaw in my pocket, Swiss army in my pack, and Helle knife to skin animals
-
Fix blade Gerber that made in USA
Folder Kershaw
-
I LOVE my benchmades.
-
I love Anza Knives. http://www.anzaknives.com/ Blades are made from old files, high carbon steel. Each knife is unique. They are hand made. Beautiful, tough, and sharp.
Here's Charlie Davis, the founder giving a demo of how he makes his knives.
Did I mention tough?
-
Gossman or Turley

Dear lord I don't know that I could pick a favorite brand. I Carried a kershaw for years and it was great. I'm currently carrying a crkt and I really like it a lot.
-
fav right now is a spyderco for edc.
-
I've had a little Spyderco Ladybug with their SpyderEdge blade since the mid 90's that I use almost daily. There's been times I wished it was a little bigger but then again, if it were much bigger I probably wouldn't throw it in my pocket everyday.
For a hunting knife, I still have my original Case two blade fold out knife my dad bought me when I was a youngin but I put that in the drawer for safe keeping in 1987 when I picked up one of the first Kershaw blade traders I saw. My first one had a wood handle and a few years later a bought one of the newer ones with the rubber molded handle. Not real expensive and there's certainly much better knives out there but they work well and I never felt bad if I broke or lost one of the blades.
-
I have two folding Kershaws that I use for most of my needs. Just sent them both in for free lifetime sharpening that Kershaw provides. For light duty, I carry a Swiss Army two-blade and scissors everyday.
-
I use to carry the Swiss army key chain knife with the little ball point pen, but it always got snagged at the airport. But the old lady with 12" knitting needles is good to go :chuckle:
-
Nothing better than a Kellam Finnish Puukko knife.
-
I'm not to fancy Sog and havalon
-
buck, because they support rmef and all their banquets. mike w
-
BUCK, BUCK, buck buck buck....they stay sharp and I can depend on them!!
-
My fixed blade buck knife skinned and boned many animals for me and held an edge very well but a few years ago I tried a havalon and haven't sharpened a blade since. LOVE LOVE LOVE that little thing!
-
Buck for me. I have a benchmade I like too, but the go to for hunting is buck
-
I carried a Kershaw for years. I switched to a 3.5" Hogue EX 01 with the G10 grips about a year ago and I love it. It's my daily carry knife and my preferred hunting knife.
-
Right now my everyday carry pocket knife is a SOG that came with my QAD rest. nice and small and very sharp, also was "free"!
i carry a Buck knife and a Havalon in my hunting pack.
-
Mora Knives. no folding to get gummed up. stainless or carbon. great grip in the blood. low low prices.
-
:) I used to carry Buck alot, Kershaw folder, but I have gone to WR Case XX stainless for pocket and fixed. Easy to sharp up, hold edge, very well made.

Buck is my all time favorite, the ones from years ago so hard that they are almost brittle. Some folks say that they are hard to sharpen but hard to sharpen usually means that they stay sharp. My little Buck folder would still shave hair on my arm after gutting and skinning a moose. I found a Gerber once on the street, carried it as my daily pocket knife for a few years till I lost it. Nice size and shape but the steel was too soft for my preference. It is only a sample of one but it dulled easily. That's OK for a daily knock around blade but for serious back country work I like harder steel. Purely personal preference.
Lately I've been using my Outdoor Edge and really like it, but have not owned it enough years for it to replace the Buck as my all time favorite. I have both in my vehicle kit, but only take one in a pack or daypack.
-
For my pocket, I have a Laguiole that I love because it was given to me and the blade length and shape are nearly perfect for a pocket knife.
For hunting, I have settled on the Outdoor Edge knives. I have a Flip & Zip that is probably the single best gut & quarter knife as well as the Razor Lite. I have the Razor Pro on my want list as it would be nearly perfect for backpacking.
-
I have my grandfathers little two blade Case pocket knife he had for more years than I can remember. It was before the days of stainless steel and that little bugger sharpens up like a razor faster than anything I've ever seen.
He bought me one similar to it but stainless when I was about 10 and that thing was NEVER even close to being as sharp as his.
-
Buck has been my goto hunting knife as well. It was my grandpa's knife until he passed. My dad gave it to him as a gift in 1970. It has seen allot of animals over the years.
-
My dad was always partial to Case XX and Ka Bar.
Don't see a lot of Ka Bar knives though. In fact, other than my dad's, I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone with one.
-
Not one but I like & have a few below is a list of my favorite ones:
Buck
CRKT
Knives of Alaska
Silver Stag
Kershaw
Also +1 on the Leatherman, Gerber & Kershaw multi pliers contraption. The old Leatherman Supertool has the best electrical butt connector crimper bar-none.
-
I realy like my Benchmade osborne s90v
-
RAPALA fillet knifes. Cheap and effective.
-
If I have to pick only one, it would have to be BUCK.
-
Mora for me
-
I realy like my Benchmade osborne s90v
:yeah:
Plus Swiss Army, Buck, Knives of AK.
-
Buck 110 for years, loved and lost a kershaw folder. But for elk hunting, Kershaw blade trader has worked well for me. I worry about breaking it but so far it's been good to go.
-
BUCK, BUCK, buck buck buck....they stay sharp and I can depend on them!!
You can say that again.

ouch. How many stiches for that?
-
Falkniven... No more needs to be said.
-
ouch. How many stiches for that?
No stitches. By the time I got to a medical facility, too much time had passed and they wouldn't stitch it. Kept it closed with butterflies for a couple weeks. Barely a scar now.

I have several different Buck knives that I use in the field. I'm sure that there are many other great knives but I like the Buck price/quality ratio. I also like the fact that Buck knives are made here in the northwest - Post Falls, Idaho.

What a shame. A good scar is worth the all the pain, suffering, expense, serious infections, hospitalization, permanent disability, and near death experience. :chuckle:
-
My favourite is the Randall Knife. I've never owned one, but we all have one:
Mine is a 1956 Ford F-100.
-
Another knife I like is a Havalon, I want to try the new Havalon Titan. It has two blades one standard folding and a replicable one.
-
Forschner is my favorite brand, the 6' skinning knife is my Favorite
-

That does look like a winner !
-
Sog all the way. Lifetime warranty, lifetime sharpening (since i can't sharpen a knife to save my life). They have great deals at the factory store in Edmonds, and are almost always running specials on new knives and factory seconds.
-
I got me a bark river that is pretty dear to my heart also.

The story goes, I got that scar punching out a passenger side window to save a baby that was left in a car on a hot day ;)
