My question is, can you dip one of these nocks in hot water when using quick fletching without damaging the lighted nock?I don't think so. They are not completely sealed (due to the internal shut off switch).

I shot a cow last year in the late season in the middle of a downpour, and my nocturnal failed to light, so I checked my others and only one worked as designed. Now they are on my practice arrows and light up periodically but are not as bright as they were new. I would have to assume it was due to the driving rain, but can't be positiveWhy wouldn't you just pull the lighted knock out of the shaft first?That wasn't the question :bash:

Water proof and water tight are different ratings. I would not expect them to survive submersion.
Agreed. Put a small piece of scotch tape around the reset opening. Not sure about the string notch.
