Nockturnal Nocks and Hot Water?

My question is, can you dip one of these nocks in hot water when using quick fletching without damaging the lighted nock?

I don't think so. They are not completely sealed (due to the internal shut off switch).

It would eliminate the need for any question. Just take the nock out. No longer have to worry about it.

Well maybe someone tried it or knows about it. They have to be some what water proof or they wouldn't work in the rain. Just wondering if they would take the heat.

Water proof and water tight are different ratings.  I would not expect them to survive submersion.

I shot a cow last year in the late season in the middle of a downpour, and my nocturnal failed to light, so I checked my others and only one worked as designed. Now they are on my practice arrows and  light up periodically but are not as bright as they were new.  I would have to assume it was due to the driving rain, but can't be positive

They have a smaller battery than my hearing aids.  You even breath heavy on those (moisture) and they are toast.  Shelf life of hearing aid batts is terrible, so I would guess the shelf life of Noctunals is not much better.  If what you have are last years nocs, I probably would not trust them much.

I know they don't like blood very much. They are no good after a pass through. Hope that helps.

I have watched lumenocks deactivate on pass through. Several times.  No thanks

Agreed. Put a small piece of scotch tape around the reset opening. Not sure about the string notch.
