Idaho license didn't print when I bought it online a few months back? Can I Walk into any store that sells them in Idaho and get it? It says there is only one chance to print the license and doesn't have any info for hunters that need to tag the animals they are after? Only says the confirmation number is good for animals that don't require a tag to hunt. has anyone ever bought their license online and not got it printed ? Can I get it in person?

DIY, give IF&G a call. They should have sent you your official license by now. I do this every year and print out the initial license/tag verification and the official license/tags come in the mail several weeks later.
-
I got my tag. No license. Don't have time to wait for a license in the mail there's elk to be killed! I hope a vendor can give me one. My brother and grandfather are hoping the same thing. Have you ever gotten it from a vendor or do you know if that's possible after buying it online? I only paid for my license online and bought my tag over the phone after I wasn't drawn. It says on the idfw web site that you must print out the licenses and none will be mailed? that's only for online purchases.

Huh, they've always sent me mine? I would definitely call them in the morning and explain what's going on. If I had to guess, they'll either send yours in the mail ASAP or tell you to swing by an in state vendor when you get to the Gem state.

Just wanted to sleep good tonight. :chuckle: I'll call in the morning and hopefully grab it when I get there. Good luck this year Phantom hope your hard work pays off.

I wasn't aware that they mailed licenses for online buyers. Usually have to print them. I did the same thing last year and called and got them mailed. Hopefully they work something out for you. Not sure if I'd like carrying a piece of copy paper anyways. You can call tonight, I've had them answer near midnight!

You may have to pay $8 for a reprint.
-
That's fine. 8 bucks is ok. Can I shoot eight Bulls? Lol.

Go and buy a waterfowl validation. $1.75 I believe, and if you show a drivers license should be able to do it at any vendor.
-
Actually just checked, waterfowl validation is 1.75 for res but NR is 4.75. You bought your archery validation already correct?
-
Yeah the archery permit gave me a reprint of my license for free. Thanks for the help guys!

I just got my tags in the mail and no lisence either but mine printed out...I figured I would get one with my tags also...not to fond of the paper version

OK guys, for the record, here is how it works with Idaho's online tag sales. (By the way, even though IDF&G uses the exact same vendor as WDFW, the rules are different.)
If you buy your license online, you PRINT your license on your own computer's printer. It is still valid. No worries. If you want to get a plastic license, then you have to go to a vendor and either pay the reprint fee (about $8), or purchase another change to the license. Like a previous post said, for example a waterfowl harvest would do the trick, but this would cost another $5 or so. Beware, purchases of TAGS at the license vendor will not result in a reprint of your license.
On the other hand, if you purchase a TAG online when you buy your license, then IDF&G (well, the vendor) will send you both the tag and the license in the mail.
I know, it makes no sense. But it works. I have often carried my license, beautifully covered with cellophane tape, and never had problems.
By the way, my woods are closed. Season opens day after tomorrow. Arrrrgh.
