I'm with Band on this one. I have a number of different kinds of cucumber plants in the unfenced part of my garden and the BTs have never touched them. Now green beans, that's a different story.Yeah, they got my green beans pretty good as well. The sweet peas, raspberries, and carrot tops too. Dang buggers.

Every now and then I'll throw something in with the apples to see if they'll eat it. As long as you put it with something they like they'll just ignore it if they don't like it. Fun to see what they eat and what they ignore. Never tried cucumbers though.
This is exactly what I ended up doing. Threw a bunch of apples out with a bunch of cucumbers. We'll see what happens. Thanks for all the replies. Sorry to those of you whose gardens get tore up by the deer every year. Wish I lived at a place where I had to worry about that though.

Slugs like them everywhere. This is the first year I managed to grow them. Started them in a raised plastic bin and then transplanted them. Even raised I killed a lot of fishbait sized slugs.
