So the lady has recently expressed interest in a bow as well as hunting with me on occasion.
We backpack together; so she is no stranger to the outdoors, spending a week in the woods, or putting on tough miles.
We are getting her into hunters safety this year, just to get it out of the way now as opposed to when she really wants to start hunting and it becomes a last minute scramble.
Anyways, for a first bow, not looking to spend too much, but also don't want junk obviously.
I shoot a diamond outlaw, I know not as fancy as most of you here, but it shoots straight (when I do haha) and kills what I hit with it.
Off the bat she had one request..."pink"...which sadly did knock out quite a few of the options I was originally oogling over.
One I ran across was the diamond infinite edge. It is available at my local outdoor emporium for about 300 bucks, and seems as though its a very adjustable, yet capable bow.
Realistically, this will be a 95% target bow, until she buys a license to come along with me on hunts.
Anyways.. Any insight or other options I am not looking at?

Pink bow or pink accents? I have a bear siren that I love, has pink accents (that I'm slowly replacing :chuckle:). It's considered an older model bear so if you find one they're usually cheaper.

I would go with the Mission Craze by Mathews. My wife has one in pink camo and just killed her first elk with it yesterday. Very adjustable in draw length and weight.

The Craze is a good bow, i agree. That's what my wife shoots and it's very affordable and adjustable so she can grow into it draw weight wise or for draw length changes.

Saw someone with an infinite edge a few days ago on the site here, I think even in pink.

I've got the infinite edge and absolutely love it.

My wife got her first compound last spring a PSE stinger x stiletto and she took to it beautifully and loves it. My daughter has the diamond infiniti (in pink camo) the adjustability is great for a growing girl but of the two I would say the PSE is a dam good bow for the price doesn't have the adjustability but the cam isn't to aggressive and my wife has no problem (she's small framed). It doesn't come in pink but a cool sparkly purple that's got a cool girly flair just the same and looks sharp. Good stuff

Just like anybody buying a bow, she ought to shoot several models before choosing one...and for the love of all things sacred, don't let her pick one just because it is pink :chuckle:

Wife and her friend both have diamond bows. Wife has Razor edge and friend has the Infinite. Both have been solid shooters and have killed deer with no problem.

I bought my gf a mission menace, it's a nice light bow. It's more of a youth bow being that it has a fairly light draw weight range maxing out at 55 I believe at the longest draw length. At her length the max is 50 or so. The craze I think is the next size up essentially, and if she can handle the strength I'd lean towards that although I haven't shot it myself. I can only vouch that the menace is nice and light plus easy to adjust
