last 2 nights, have had waves of geese honking while I lay in bed with window open over the kitsap area.. times 10-15 minutes almost continuous noise in the sky heading south..
-
Noticed the same thing over the last week or so. The birds must be noticing the shorter days! Seen ducks starting to fly in bigger flocks too.
-
My first post on the board! I saw a flock of cacklers yesterday morning. Seems early for down here in Lower Columbia area. :dunno:
-
Letting the dogs out last night before bed and cacklers were going crazy way up.
-
Seeing a little movement over here on the far east side, but nothing like you are seeing to the west.

Starting to see snows! Lots of flights of dark geese as well!
-
Lots of specs flying over early this morning, heading South.
I hope a few hang around for the opener.

They're flooding into Sno-Co.

There's a small flock of snows over Everett right now.

My brother lives in central Alaska and he said the birds are getting out of dodge. It's freezing and snowing already. Early season might be good.

I saw my first Swan of the year on Sunday and another group of 5 yesterday.
