Title: sharp-eyed little punk
Post by: bigdave on January 16, 2009, 09:19:35 AM
I'm a teacher. I'm out supervising kids getting off the buses this morning and this little first grader gets off the bus with about a 2 foot long moose shed. He can barely carry it. I strike up a conversation with him and ask him where he got it. "Oh," he says, "I found it at my bus stop this morning, the other one was on the other side of the highway but I knew it was against the rules to cross the road so I left it there". I'm going to post a pic stay tuned.
Oh yeah, guess where I'm going at lunch today? (just Joking!)

Added:

Took his picture.......Trust me he was smiling! I liked how his little face fit perfectly between the tines. Pretty cool day at school.

You should go get it and give it to him before someone else finds it!  :)

Pic added. I couldn't get away to get the other one for him. Can you believe they make me actually WORK?!? Hopefully, his Dad can find it. I told him not to tell the other kids on his route about the other one....but he is only 1st grade.....we all know how they can't keep secrets.

Thats really cool, you really should go get the other one and give it too him, i bet he will never forget you, and it would probably give him the kindness to do a similar good deed when he gets a few more years on him too!

talk to the driver and see if he will turn on his redlights and put out the stop sign so the kid can cross and get it.

I asked him yesterday if he had gotten the other horn and he said that he hadn't. He may have been telling a whopper about the other horn. Don't know for sure. :dunno:
