Title: Interesting tumor
Post by: NOCK NOCK on September 25, 2015, 12:26:24 PM
Had this buck on camera for a couple months but never noticed the "Scrotum looking"  :chuckle: growth hanging from his neck. He also has several others on both sides of his body/legs.

Sure look like cutaneous fibromas, which many folks call "deer warts".  Doesn't typically harm the animal or make the meat unfit for consumption, but sure can reduce your appetite for venison!

I can tell ya' exactly what they are.  We had a young hound get into a pork ~1983.  He had a half dozen of the same type things hanging from him from that point on.  Right about in the same places these are hanging from that deer.  Don't ask me about the mechanism of  it, I couldn't tell ya.
