If i sent this in to be refurbished? :chuckle:
6 month soak in a new spot, ill never know what this cam saw. Melted right off the tree, nothing even remotely recognizable as an sd card remaining. My forest fire camera "as it lay"

Send it in for repairs :chuckle:

Looks fine to me :chuckle:

It's a flesh wound. Get a new bear box and call it good.
-
Looks like a bear might have gotten to it. Although I've seen elk hit them with there antlers and do damage too.
-
Send it in with the story of losing it in the horrible fires here. I bet they'll replace it as a good will jesture.
-
Send it with a complaint. Tell them a top rated game cam shouldn’t melt in a little wildfire and you expect more from Bushnell products.

You mean like, a bear that breathes fire?? Thats scary! I was going to go put another cam up there, get the regrowth cycle documented over time, but if there are freaking fire breathing bears up there, screw that! Im not going back on that mountain!!

:yeah: :chuckle: :chuckle:

The SD card's OK though, right??

I actually peeled that mess apart and couldnt find anything that might have been an sd card. Figure out of 8 batteries, only 3 were left that were identifiable. Thing was absolutely destroyed

What a bummer. I got one over by the tower fire I'm hoping made it ok
-
I'm sorry for your loss :ACRY:
Heading over Tuesday to see if mine made it through the graves mt fire hopefully the rds will be open if not it'll be a long winter
-
Mine made it just fine

I would send it back with a new clip, pictures of the fore and a letter that says, "Can I get this repaired? Please. I loved this camera!" I think the humorous nature of a very simple letter with a single sentence and return address and phone number would go a long way. Doubt they will replace it for free, but I expect you would get one heck of an offer on the replacement!

Not worth the effort. I already have so many cams that probably 10 or more are sitting in my closet still. Havent had time to put them all up. The curse of an addictive personality. Ill do my best to spread the rest around the tri county area this spring. Speaking of which, now that my deer tag is filled i can go check some cams tomorrow!
