Thoughts on this? Heard some good things about mountain ops supplements and figure these companies both support hunting so they would be good to use

Are they similar priced? I've heard both of these companies on podcasts and they claim they use the best ingredients etc

I've never tried MtN OPS, but I have been using W/A for over a year and I really think they make great products. Tastes good too  :)

I have been using Isagenix for several years now, mostly the meal replacement shakes and bars and the protein powder.  They taste great and are handy to keep in the pack instead of candy bars or as an alternative to jerky.  Plus the kids love them.  Not sure how it compares to the other two for price but if you sign up for a wholesale membership you get a significant price reduction.  The nice thing about Isagenix is if you are ambitious you can make money selling product.  I have made some money, not much, but I haven't tried all that hard at it, I mostly just use the products.

I've never used either so I can't comment on the two in question  but I use Stronger faster healthier fuel in the morning and recovery after a workout. It's  the cleanest I've found taste good and works well, progenex is popular  as well but uses more added fillers  to obtain better flavors. It's all a matter of what is important to you that a supplement has or doesn't have in it and the types of protein your getting, i.e. Whey, soy, isolates, concentrates ect. I do know both companies support various atheletes and sports including hunting.

I've used products from both suppliers.  They both make good stuff.  I like the flavor of Mt Ops products better.

ok, well...I was looking for something to use in a 25 hour endurance offroad motorcycle race. I was racing the Iron Man class, so I was doing the entire race solo.

I asked a couple buddies that do Ultra-Marathons (100 mile stuff) what they use.

I was told that Hammer Nutrition was the stuff!!!

so I ordered up some Perpetuem Orange-Vanilla stuff to use.

well, lets just say that this stuff works!!! Keeps you going when you need it.

FYI, if you are a fat slug that eats bacon all day and never hits the gym, NO suppliment will work for you.

FYI, I placed 4th in my race. 1st was only two laps ahead after 25 hours. (one lap was 18 miles) I had a total of 234 miles.

Personally, I think both are pretty over priced, especially M.O. but like you said, if your gonna waste money on suppliments, may as well support companies that support hunting.  Plus everyone knows that you don't actually have to use M.O. for it to work.  All you have to do is buy their hats, shirts, etc., and then post about how awesome they are all over social media, and BAM!!!!!!!!!!  Instantly healthy :chuckle:

Yup got my hat with the sample pack! Haha, I don't agree that all supplements are a waste of money. I think if they do what you want them to do and have quality ingredients then they are beneficial. I have heard representatives from both of these companies on podcasts and they seem pretty legit. Although mtn ops is obviously heavily into marketing. These companies seem to offer a good product but that's not to say there aren't just as good ones for cheaper.

I'm just busting your chops, no need to defend your decision.  I use the WA hydrate and recover as a drink mix while on backpack hunts.  Its more for just some flavoring to break up the grind of water water water all the time.  I usually have it with my mountain house at night.  Its like a little treat.  As far as a day to day regiment though, I just go with lean protein and lots of veggies.  Leaves my body strong and not needing anything extra.

About two years ago I found myself really slowing down.  I gained a little weight, always felt bloated, and was constantly tired.  I cut out most sugars and processed foods and started shoveling lean proteins and veggies by the literal truck loads in me.  All issues were remedied within a couple weeks.  It super started my metabolism and I could get up and eat a tub of lard and my body would burn it off.  This worked for ME.  Not saying it works for everyone.  I did try the WA protein just because I don't have a break room or anything to eat lunch in and I thought a good high quality protein could help me get calories during the day but I hate the taste of whey so I gave up on that idea :bash:
