I've had this HSP stock on my .25 for a while now... and with all this talk about Krylon lately... I figured it was high time to play with some paint.
Before:

Started by painting the whole stock Khaki (from now on I'm using the word TAN... saying khaki makes me feel kind of funny). Then I swiped some long plastic grass from a flower argangement to use as a stencil.

I alternated TAN and Olive untill I was satisfied with how it looked. That's the beauty of the Krylon... you just keep painting untill it looks the way you want. Should be a good patern for east side coyotes and such...

Not yet... waiting on different glass... then I'll do the whole thing.

Did you put down primer 1st? And did you put any clear on to protect? I like that pattern. Great job

No primer... just wiped it down with acetone. I put on 4 or 5 layers... no clear coat. I'm not that worried about the finish, the Krylon seems to hold up pretty well. Besides, if it wears off a little... I'll just paint it again.
