Title: Mulie Down! 762 yards
Post by: buglin4bulls on October 20, 2015, 07:33:38 PM: We caught this guy leaving the pea field heading to his bed late. We ranged him at 762 yards and dialed in the gunwerks 6.5x284 and laid the hammer down. At that range, 140 grains really put the thump too him and he didnt take a step. My biggest buck yet and very thankful on a successful season. Meat in the freazer. We also found a little surprise kicker when we walked up on him. He will be going on the wall!

I am/was very proficient with my 270 out to 400 yards. Back then I got 9 negative comments for every 1 positive. Too far, unethical, real hunters get closer, etc etc etc. I still limit myself to 500 these days as that is as far as I feel fairly confident. Just kinda makes me smile :)
