For now I had Kyle Haan of KH Horn Mounts in Lynden strip the velvet and stain the horns and do a leather horn mount for them. I am getting the cape tanned and will probably mount in the future but need to save some money first. (Don't really have anywhere in the house to put him which is why I say probably...)
Depending how it scores with velvet off he should be top 5 (western blacktail) with a bow in WA.

I have heard some people use "state record" to mean it meets min quals for the state book so without a pic I am not too excited.
I agree. 125 is much different than 184.

Do you have some mass measurements on that thing ? I have a mid 180s typical muledeer with deeper forks so just trying to wrap my head around this lol

Only about 26" wide.. :chuckle: I would take that. He says 28 1/2" :dunno: But whos quibling over a couple inches when they get in the upper 20s on a blacktail. Im always impressed when they get over 18"

There are more pics of it in his profile. It's only about 26 inches wide from the pic with a tape. That's still amazing for a blacktail. It's just not that big to go 180". :dunno:
