Ya was thinking that. But like to imagine a huge buck making it :)

Scrapes are when bucks rip up the ground and pee on the bare dirt. Rubs are when they horn up a tree

Deer and elk have alters not horns. If you're going to be a grammar cop, make sure you have everything correct. Also let's not be jerks.
To the OP- it's always a blast finding big rubs. Good luck!

Im aware, but horn works better as a verb than antler. If youre going to be a terminology cop, at least know the difference between terminology and grammar. I was telling him the difference to be helpful.

OR you can use the proper term and call them antlers....if you wanna prove a point and throw out information to be helpful then actually give the proper term.
-
I wasnt trying to prove a point, i was just explaining the difference, and a 5 year old kid could have understood my explanation. As i said, i was trying to be helpful, so screw off

I think he was talking to the other guy who corrected you, but at the same time said antlers are called alters. So when you tell a guy to screw off, make sure he's actually talking to you and not the other guy.
This thread has gone to hell in a hand basket.

And if you're going to call antlers alters then say so otherwise check your spelling :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
OP, nice rub you got there.

Wait, was the tree an alder? Did the elk use his horns? Or did he scrape the ground with his antlers? I'm confused.... :o
