Any information on this buck taken a few days ago, never seen anything like in come out of the area.
-
Where did you see it? I know of a 30 1/2 taken but it's not mine to post and he is not a member.
-
I know the family and will try and get permission to post a picture, its a stud.
-
Send me a pm of the family if it's the same buck I will give you the story.
-
I know of a wider one than that from a couple years ago, but not this year
-
We definitely need pics......post like this without pics are just NOT OK!!!! :chuckle:
-
Saw the big one with the palmation's from here posted on Washington Hunting on FB. Group of 5 guys that all tagged out and the one big one.
-
Would love to see pics of this buck
-
I know of one from there this year that went a little over 200".
-
Pictures are needed...I need to be able to tell you all if its really 31" or only 30.89" wide....My computer skills are top notch today

No pics yet???

I saw a pic that would fit the bill....but don't think it was from the teanaway. Lots and Lots of great bucks falling this year. Whoever says Washington doesn't have good deer hunting is crazy.

Specifically who knows, but I was told by someone connected that it was Cle Elum area. :dunno:

The pic I have is the cle elum area buck. Beautiful buck.

I had a massive one cut across the road on Blewett about a month ago at 1 in the am.
-
If you have a pic of the buck in question then somebody took it off a relatives Facebook page, this buck is making it's rounds via Facebook I would really hate to hear the story that's been generated...
-
Sounds like a good buck, been some nice ones this year

I have no story. I have a pic of the deer and a pic of the deer and hunter. It was sent to me via phone from a friend that somehow knows the hunter???? Is there a cool story that goes along with it?? Would love to have the hunter post and tell the story. It is a pretty amazing buck that I thing anyone would be proud of.
-
If It's Making It's Rounds On The Net Then Why Not Post It Here?
-
Not much of a story but you know how things tend to get exaggerated. The guy is not a member and I don't own the photo, but the guy has taken several big bucks over the years none close to this though.
-
Good front spread that will likely go upper 160's to 170.
-
If its the same one I got (dude in a cowboy hat and blue shirt) the buck has shallow forks, good mass, and a crazy looking second main beam, or inline point thingy. Great buck! I don't know if he will hit the magic 30 mark though.
-
The pic I have does not involve a cowboy hat. Camo hat with sunglasses and headlamp. Stainless rifle on synthetic stock. hard to tell with photo, but outside spread could easily go 30". Decent forks, decent mass (not huge mass) with a 3" eyeguard on bucks left.
-

Definitely not the one I got, and the one I have is a typical strait on angle 4 point. :dunno:

I also have the staight on photo of the same buck with hunter in it. Does yours have a pile of old dead knarled up wood in the background??
-
Oh man! Well now, this has peaked my interest. Hoping someone comes forward with some pics! Usually when folks talk about 30" deer my eyes tend roll, but sounds like this one may be for real. I'm hoping so!
-
been hunting there ten years that country holds good bucks haven't seen anything of that caliber yet hope could see a pic
-
Yeah, its for real, I seen the pictures, only problem is I dont have permission to share, all I can say is its a massive typical 4 point with eye guards, looks like something from Wyoming.
-
I also have seen it. It's a stud, and looks to be 30" to me :)
-
I was doing some aerial mapping over the Teanaway near Ellensburg earlier this spring. Saw TONS of elk and deer in the area. It looked like an amazing place to hunt. I bet there area a ton of bruisers in the area.
-
I know the hunter. He is a good friend of my moms and I will see about getting the story and see if he will allow me to post the picture I have. It's a straight four, has about 1-1 1/2" eye guards, and heavy. Decent forks. My buck from 2011 was 29 1/2" wide and scores 169". This Buck is bigger in every department except for the eye guards. I'm guessing 173"+ and it definitely looks to be 31" wide. I'll see if I can get permission to post the pic, but I wouldn't count on it.
-
It's a true 30" buck with pretty solid forks and decent mass, the likelihood of it getting posted on here is very slim.
-
TAG! want to see this 30"

Why haven't you guys started a thread about the 380-390 9x9 tucannon bull that some of us have received pictures of but aren't posting them for the forum to see? This whole reply to a thread and say I have pictures but aren't sharing them is dumb. :stirthepot:
ps, the bull is amazing.

Not posting pictures is similar to Hilary Clinton deleting emails. All pure fail lol

No way the buck I saw went 30" ..... I googled Teanaway Mule Deer and I brought up a spindly lil' 3..... :dunno:
Oh wrong buck? Well I had just as good of a chance at seeing that way as checking in on this thread. >:(
-
Again, if it's all over the net, apparently, and other people are sharing like a wildfire then why not just post it here. I'm sure all million people on Facebook didn't ask permission to share the pic or repost it. Just saying...

Yes I get the respect portion but there's been several chime in that they've seen it and seen it all over well then if it's out there then why not post it here. Or at least a link? I get pics and I don't share let alone Say I Got pics Out Of respect.

Personally I won't post someone else's pictures unless they ask me to. It's a respect thing in my eyes. It doesn't matter to me what the rest of the world is doing.
-
I keep coming back to this thread and keep getting disappointed..... :'(

Technically its illegal to 'share' someone else's photo without the copyright holders expressed consent, but some images such as memes have an implicit consent that they're meant to be reposted. A copyright logo is NOT required to be watermarked on an image to be copyrighted, but to me it makes it clear it is not authorized for redistribution. Technically its NOT illegal to post someones image on the internet for non commercial purposes but I won't do it without their consent. A little common sense and common courtesy goes a long ways.
-
This thread is killing me... I'm pretty sure I seen this buck the day before :bash:
-
I do not need to see the picture, Griz321's already ruined me. :chuckle:
-
I've seen the pics.
It's a 1 1/2 year old two point. Outside spread is about 14".
I'm sticking with this until someone posts a pic.
-
I keep coming back to this thread and keep getting disappointed..... :'(
:yeah:
Good news is the thread is only 2 pages long. It has gone from "have you seen it or heard of it?" to "I have heard about it" to "I have seen it" to an actually description of the frame and inches. Can't be long before someone actually posts a photo of it. Right now it is a battle of respect to the shooter. Some respect the shooter enough to not even mention, others enough to not show the photo but say they have seen it, and some to respect them enough to say they have seen the photo and even describe the animal. Maybe by page 4 everyone will know what it actually looks like.
I am with Nock Nock, Griz321's post of his dad's buck ruined me. That is the one that I keep going back to look at, what a deer.
-
Ok, Ill post a pic..
-
If it's "all over the net" and Facebook then it should be easy to find. :dunno:
After comparing pics with a buddy, there are two, but both still look to be upper 160's, maybe right at 170 4x4's.
-

I know jack, I guess a better explanation was in order on my part. I was referring to those that stated they seen it on another social media site being shared or all over and if so, then why not post a link? I was not referring to those that were sent the pic that know the person or know a person who knows the person or the person that knows the person that knows the person. Again, to clarify I do not support sharing if it was specifically shared with you and you were asked not to share, come on, I've made that request and shared and have been shared with and out of respect I don't share, or even say I've seen or shared out of respect. :o. I think that about clarifies it... :dunno: :chuckle:

:dunno: this is the only social media thing I've got so in the dark with everything else. :dunno:
-
A link to the Facebook page of the relative that posted the pic probably would get nowhere near seeing the pic, since the page has privacy settings blocking people that aren't friends from seeing pictures.

Weve all seen bucks of over 30 plus inches come out of the teanaway over the years...when 1200 people hunt it for rifle, a few of them are bound to get shot. I have seen a couple of 30 inch deer come out of there this year. If someone doesn't want to share...leave it alone. It was probably a road hunter anyways...at least the one i saw was.

Definitely not a road hunter, to triggermike that's the buck so I guess if you don't know the hunter and you got the pic you could post it...

If anyone ever does post a photo of this deer/s, Please photoshop a halo around its head....it's kind of like the second coming of Christ :dunno: :chuckle: :chuckle:
It's cracking me up though. Sounds like this animal is all over the interweb, but yet it's a huge secret, :dunno: it's just another buck, BFD, not like it was/or ever will be, the only 30" ever shot. :twocents:

whew, now back to your regularly scheduled program :chuckle:
great buck rlsay. Congrats!
-
That's not the buck I saw.
The hunter in the photo I saw was wearing khakis, and the weather looked a shade cloudier. He's the cousin of a friend's sister's aunt's dentist.
Out of respect to my friend's sister's aunt's dentist's cousin, I will not post a photo of this massive buck. But I can say that it will change your life.
I will say that the photo is EVERYWHERE, including Facebook, Twitter, Myspace and Instagram.
My ex girlfriend actually knows the buck, and dated him twice after connecting on Tinder. Both times to Red Robin. The buck had onion rings and is a terrible tipper, apparently. She's probably lying as usual though - always said that about me too.
Also just saw the buck on Sportcenter doing an interview. Looks to be in good health, and definitely a giant.
Seriously though. 10% seems generous enough to me. How hard is it to serve onion rings?
Great thread everyone.

Great deer
But on a personal note I think you should be banned for your first post being a deer 99% of us only can dream about harvesting.. :chuckle:
-
That's the way to introduce yourself! Congratulations!
-
If possible can you let us know what it takes out at? How wide did end up being?
-
The gross score is 185 6/8 and ended up netting 180 even. The outside spread was just short of 31" and the inside spread was 26 1/2".
-
I'm glad the shooter posted the deer, I was pretty sure the thread woulda been 20+ pages of "just post pics it's not a secret". For all those saying to just post pics without permission how would you feel if someone did that to you? Awesome buck rlsay.
-
It's pretty cool we have monsters like this in Washington. What a beautiful animal
-
That is a monster. Didn't know deer like that existed in our state unless it was Bone that was conjuring them out of thin air for a photo op.

Not only does this guy kill big Bucks but he also knows how to Mooch up some BIG ASS NOOKS. His top 2 that I've netted for him are 50 and 61lbs. *censored* dies around him whether he's in the Mountains or on the Salt. Nice Bambi, it's a good thing you thru the rifle in the bag while you were playing the front nine at Suncadia. :hunter:
-
Thanks for posting up the pictures, and joining the forum, a mutual friend our ours showed me a different picture of your buck and was floored, what a great trophy
-
Nice Buck, I believe I saw you guys loading it into your truck, don't worry not saying where that was. If you guys had a silver Ranger?
-
Thanks. It must have been some other hunters as we do not own a silver ranger!
-
holy smoke nice deer man congrats
-
Thanks! Definitely grateful to be fortunate enough to take a buck of this caliber, especially here in Washington.
-
Congrats on a dandy buck! And thank you for not long-arming that beauty... Awesome buck!
-
Update: The buck has been officially scored by Russ Spaulding and ended up with a net score of 184 7/8.
I want to give a big thanks to both Rick with Cedar River Taxidermy and Russ for taking the time to measure up the buck and for also putting together all of the required paperwork/documentation for entry into both the Washington State and Boone and Crockett record books.

Awesome buck, congrats on the awards!
