Welcome the new addition to our family. She will be ready to come home in 3 weeks. I named her goose, but my wife doesn't like that name. Says it doesn't fit her. So, anyone have some suggestions for an official name, that will be used when we register her?

Where is she coming from? Root around in her papers and come up with a catchy registered name and have a shorty version call name. I have a dog named Susie's Smokin Weed,Suze is her call name,I have another registered as Wildweeds Pinball Wizard,he is obviously Tommy. Have fun with it. I like to have all dog names end with an "E" sound,I feel it carries in the wind better. I'd probably lean towards Candy on that dog,she looks pretty darn sweet.

She is coming out of a new, just starting kennel in connell. She doesn't have the best hunting lines, but for what I'm looking for she will be just fine. Took a quail wing with me when we picked her out, and out of all the pups he had left, she was the one most interested in the wing. She would grab that thing and not let it go, and sniff around for it.
Still have a little over 2 weeks till we actually pick her up, so plenty of time to come up with a good name. Leaning towards Smiths gorgeous goose, and calling her GG.

Those are great names ww! Yeah, I feel naming your dog takes careful thought. I remember it taking up to 3-5 days before coming up with my dogs names.
I had a few criteria before even meeting my new companions. The name couldn't rhyme with any commands or swear words. I wanted it's sound to carry well when yelling at the top of my lungs,".......in the wind. And I Wanted two syllables. Can't trmember why now. :dunno:

That's where goose came from. I figured a lot of people used maverick, so I would go with goose.

No body wants a hunting partner like Maverick :dunno:. But who would not want a hunting partner like Goose :IBCOOL:. I like it. Great looking pup too .

I like goose. I've always wanted a pointer. I've already decided a female would be Sage and a male Loomis. I'm a fly fisherman. Beautiful pup.

Got your name picked out Jackelope, start looking for a wirehair, Jack's Wooly Booger, call name Boogie

I like it. Sadly I have a 10# tiny dog right now that serves no purpose LOL. Oh and a bunch of rabbits. No wirehairs in my immediate future. I do like that name.
