just saw a post on Skagit breaking news about vehicles have been getting broke into in parking lot.... just a heads up for everyone that hunts that area to keep eyes open and no valuable stuff left in trucks/cars.
hope everyone has a great season without this kinda crap to worry about.

Seems to be happening more and more.
-
Breaking into trucks where you know everyone is packing a shotgun and could come back at any minute...
Gotta be tweakers.
If everyone chipped in $5, they could probably hire a guard for the morning.
-
that's messed up... it gets pretty busy with people coming and going all day there...dudes have some guts!

Is this near the Fir Island hunting area?

yes.

I saw an incident near the Mill town boat launch. 2 guys were talking to a female game warden and pointing to their car which had a busted side window; glass was all over the road. Same area, probably the same lowlifes.

Yeah, read on another forum there was 3 break-in's at HQ in the last 7 days and 1 at Milltown.

I'm guessing these are mostly during the week? That place sees a lot of traffic on weekends plus there's usually a warden there...
-
Another break in today a friends truck got both windows smashed out and everything in his truck was stolen, time to bait car these junkies/pieces of *censored*

I was there today. Did not see any suspicious people. Pretty gutsy to do it in that parking lot.

sounds like you guy's need to be wacking and stacking tweeker's instead of birds :dunno:
-
We were in the area today, no break ins; I think my success is due to the wet rubber gloves and day old baloney sammich I had in the rig :IBCOOL:

Did he have a lot of stuff in his truck? That's the launch I normally use. Definitely going to start emptying my truck the night before now...
