Having a great time on the hunt. After I turned down 2 small Bulls
On Tuesday I haven't seen another bull since. I have have tracked
2 Bulls in fresh snow but lost them in deep cover. Talked with the
Other tag holder. He is also struggling finding bull. I know they
Are here. I am hunting all of the traditional drainages they are in
This time of year. There is snow up high but it has frozen making
Driving scary. I am thinking about hunting thru Tuesday and coming back
On the 19th if I don't find a decent bull. If any of you local guys
Have a good lead on a mature bull please call my cell at 206 396
8159. I have a good partner with me so I don't need any help
Unless of course you want to. I want to give myself the best
Chance to kill a good bull. Today is my birthday so I am feeling
Lucky😁
Thanks and good hunting. Bryan

Late moose hunt is a hard hunt. I have the aladdin tag and have seen to cows since the 1st. I have talked with a few locals I know and for the Douglas unit they all say Goldfield mine off the Aladdin side and Rogers Mtn. Not much help but good luck. I'm still searching...and yes. The roads are very scary. Be safe.

Happy birthday and good luck. Be patient and it will happen.
-
Had a good day. Saw 4 cows in 2 different drainages.
Gonna keep hitting it hard👊💥👊
-
Bulls will probably be together away from cows.
-
Look in the draws where the feed is. The moose are there. Good luck!

Any luck Bryan?

Just got back home late last night. I passed on several small bulls. I saw 1 masher bull still in rut on Nov 8  I planned a good stock but the bull blew out and we looked for him for 2 days.
The weather should be getting colder. Hopefully there will be some tracking snow when I come back for round 2 next week.
I am on a quest for a mature bull.
That journey continues

Good luck buddy, I know you will get it done. With more snow they will come out of the high country making it a little easier. At least in terms of late moose hunting! :chuckle:
-
Good luck! I found on my hunt, with the leaves on the ground and some skiff's of snow, the Nov part of the season produced more animals to view. Oct, with the rut is fun calling them in, but if you want to look over alot of animals, when the leaves are on the ground is alot of help!
-
Way to keep after it. Best of luck crossing paths with that masher again!
-
Keep the faith Bryan. As I have always said, persistence pays off and I know you will get a good bull, so hang in there.
-
Bryan, that bull in the picture is better than the twins we saw on Monday. Let me know when you are headed back over, we'll find a bull or two.
-
Good luck, you'll get a good bull.
That bull and that spot look familiar...he's had a couple near death experiences this year. :chuckle:
-
Good luck finding the right bull! keep at it. One thing that really helped me on my moose hunt this year was a comment from a retired biologist. He said you would be amazed how many phone calls I used to get from stressed out moose hunters. Make sure you have fun, enjoy the hunt!

Good luck ... wishing you success

No Happy Dance photo's yet?

Heading out on Thursday for a 4 hunt. The weather looks like I should have at least a skiff of tracking snow on Friday. I will have some local help and I am hopeful I will get my cross hairs on a good bull.
Of course I know there is always a chance of that not happening. I won't wait until the last minute of daylight to cap off on a smaller bull. I am also not against shooting a nice cow if I have a opportunity at a good cow verses a tiny year old bull.
In the end no matter what happens I feel lucky and blessed to be able to hunt moose in my own state.
Wish me luck!
Bryan
