Good for OR. I'll be shocked if WA ever does it now.

Best news Ive heard in a while!!

Our Fish & Wildlife Commission intentionally made the wolf recovery goals unachievable for at least a decade or two. Oregon had the right idea by making their recovery goals short and sweet, because they don't want them there. At least Oregon is trying to preserve their big game, unlike our state game officials.

I agree with you that our plan here is out of whack, but just to clarify, the WDFW commission did not write our wolf recovery plan, WDFW bios did. Was it written without foresight as to what is happening now? Absolutely! That's why properly applied pressure and thoughtfully written opinion is still important from sportsmen....we can't afford to lose our voice; matter of fact, we should be strengthening it right now, going through proper channels, making our voices heard. Use science and good resources to make your points...it is the one thing that separates us from the "antis". We don't need to use emotion- we have science on our side, so let's take advantage of that when we communicate.
