Here is my late buck. I am no trophy hunter.
I waited some, I saw several normally shooters. I have a hard time holding out for the mashers, I would rather have a full freezer.
We filled 4 of 5 tags this year, not a bad year.
-
Not a thing wrong with that buck. Glad you punched your tag.
-
Looks like a trophy buck to me.
-
nice deer!
-
Trophy's mainly feed ego's not your family. Good job
-
Nice looking buck congrats! Any animal you take in fair chase is a trophy in my book. Hunting isn't easy!
-
That's a beauty. You should be proud. I'm eating pork cutlets, not venison tonight.
-
No reason to make excuses. A legal harvest is a legal harvest, and food on the table trumps all the rest of the pointy stuff. That is a damn fine deer, one I would shoot every time if able to get myself an ethical shot opportunity.
WELL DONE!
-
Dandy buck. Congrats!
-
Sorry didn't mean it to sound like excuses. I am pretty happy with him.
I know there are some whoopers out there, I just couldn't pass on him.
All in all it was a great year for the family in hunting. First year for me to grind and make my own burger.

Nice buck!! Glad your doing your own burger. Once we started doing it our selves, wife and I felt silly for not doing it sooner!!
-
That is a dandy buck. I'd take it any day. Congrats!

That's a trophy to me bud! I bet it looks huge in the freezer! Nice deer!

Sir, that is a darn fine buck you harvested
Sure do like those whitetail, a very tasty critter IMO they make the best burger.
Good job on a proud buck.
If you have any questions while your learning to process your own burger or any other things you may like to attempt, sausage, jerky, etc. feel free to shoot me PM anytime you can pick my brain I'm totally into it all.
Since your already going to be grinding you should also give some fresh sausage a go as well, breakfast, italian or flavor you like, bulk, links, brats, good things to try if your a beginner.
-
Did 60lbs of burger yesterday, in a couple weeks I will be doing 30lbs of summer sausage.
I really like doing this stuff.

I don't have a whitetail so that would be going to the taxidermist for a shoulder mount so if that's not a trophy let me know when I get back I will a buck the same caliber congrats
