3rd one I think. Perfect!

Sweet, keep killing them please! This makes me wonder, since natives can do what the want when it comes to fishing and hunting, would they get in trouble if they killed wolves off reservation?
-
Basically the Tribal members I know say they kill em' where they find em' when they find em' and that they don't care if it is on the Rez or off the Rez. Believe me guys, the Tribal sportsmen were anti-wolf for at least as long as any of us has been anti-wolf.
-
Lets hope they do the same with wolves of the sea..........sealions.
-
Have you hugged a native lately?
Thank you!!!

They are so big. Amazing how big a 75 lb female is :yike:
-
I am all for killing wolves but unless these already need to be reported to the state which I believe they probably don't, I wouldn't post them on the internet. Better off keeping it quiet otherwise WDFW will take these kills into account when they are trying to come up with a number of wolves and trying to get them delisted. Sweet kill though.
-
The Tribe has a quota and the federal govt has leverage to get the Tribe to accept those quotas. Like either you knuckle under or you loose some of your "free gubmnt cheese."
So the Tribe goes along, but the sportsmen among the Tribal members are not the Tribal members lining up at the gubmnt trough and they just don't much care.
These families have the kind of respect among the only people whose opinion they care about, that professional athletes get.

As far as I know they don't count the packs/wolves located on reservations. Something to do with lack of jurisdiction :chuckle:
-
What leverage? Federal government doesn't set our seasons or for what animals. They don't set our seasons, quotas and for what animals. Once the wolf is delisted in central wa. By USFS I know I will want one
-
Plat you need a new online name, "Poses with Wolves"

Quotas are set. The Tribe is coerced by the Feds and set the quotas, but IMHO Tribal members will not ever be prosecuted for shooting a wolf irrespective of where they find it.

That's old news from 2012 newspaper article
-
I have friends in Nespelem and Inchilium and FIRST HAND is where I get my info. Someone said no quota and right in this article it talks about quotas. I suppose that there are more contemporary articles but I am not all that interested in searching for them. It just isn't that important to me.

We are not coerced by the Feds. I don't know where you heard that but when it comes to topics like this, it is our decision as a Tribe. It's call "self-governance".
The tribes set the "quotas". The tribal fish and wildlife make the recommendations then the Tribal Council approves and authorizes it. We don't need fed authorization for our seasons, limits.
Like I said, once the wolf has been delisted in central wa. I'm going to push for one asap. In our Usual & Accustomed Lands and certain areas of our Ceded Lands they are not listed but long drive to hunt one. USFS needs to hurry and delist so I can bag a few in my backyard.
Plus, I heard hugs are being given out for harvesting a wolf. :chuckle:
-
WDFW asks tribes politely to share info, whether it is given is up to the tribe. Wouldn't that be refreshing
-
Plat, I believe the cct was giving funding for management and research for wolf management! To get the funding I believe they were to have a plan which had quotas! I heard its kinda like yellow road signs "its suggested" lol
-

every who bags a wolf should get a free box of shells. mike w
