Title: Potholes Still Frozen?
Post by: Ducknut97 on December 09, 2015, 04:23:19 PM
I went out on Saturday with a buddy from school and the potholes were frozen solid, so thick we walked across it at some points! Wondering if anyone has seen it melting yet, the weather has warmed up but I haven't had the time to drive over from School cause of finals this week.

Been plenty of chat on other forums of it raining and being in the 60's.  Sounds like a lot of water has opened back up.  May start freezing again this coming weekend.

If its not frozen, it should be a good hunt for ya. Been reading a few reports of good numbers of birds in the area.

Good luck

Saturday looks to be excellent with a little bit of rain. Yes the lakes are "frozen" but nothing your boat or boots can't break through.

I hunted it this morning and there were a ton of birds working the area. Only problem is I don't have my boat with me because of school so I couldn't get to where the birds wanted to be. I dont know how many birds came to 70 yards as they were circling the big water!!  :bash:
