That's the first pistol I purchased (about a year ago after a lot of research).  It's a great gun.  Accurate, reliable, comfortable, easy to disassemble and clean.  No regrets.

Great shooter.  I have two of them!

I love mine. I've shot federal bulk, remington golden, cci mini-mag, and cci sub-sonic without any ftf. Fun to shoot and accurate without being picky about ammo.

Has anyone else had issues with the sight bottoming out while trying to get it sighted in. Both mine and my friends had to be bottomed out to get close to being on. I put a after market front sight on mine and that helped. Just wondering if others are seeing this as well. No complains and they are great little guns. I run mine suppressed.

I picked up a 22/45 before the sr22. That thing is a hunk of junk!

I've owned a couple single sixes, a mkI a mkII and a 22/44 I've loved them all. Still own a ss and mkII but I like to experiment and this seems like a fun fun to play with

I have a mkII as well. Love it. This 22/45 lite is junk. All kinds of fail to feeds, I have had it not fire a bunch. Or after I pull the trigger and it does not go off. It fires when the trigger is released :yike: I have owned a lot of rugers and liked most. My buddy is a huge ruger fan and even he hates it.

Is your 22/45 lite one of the older ones or a newer one?  I've got one I bought a couple years ago, it's the fluted barrel looking one and my sister has one of the older ones that kinda looks like a space gun.  I've put, easily, 5x as many rounds through mine as she's put through hers and I never have problems while hers seems to have a lot of feeding problems.  I've also got a MkIII stainless bull barrel target and it's never had one single issue of any kind.  I put VQ trigger kits in both of mine, it sure lightens up the trigger and makes them even more fun to shoot.

It's one of the new ones with all the holes drilled in it. Kinda looks like a waffle :chuckle:

One of these days I'm going to ship it off to ruger and see if they can come up with a fix.

Hi,.... I have a 22/45 Lite also. I have only put 50 rounds through it but I didn't have any problems.

While researching this model before purchasing, I found complaints of failure to feed/extract. It seems the loaded chamber indicator was the main cause. Luckily, the LCI is easy to remove, there's even a Youtube video showing how.

Take care,
Lee

SR-22's are a fun gun.  Out of the 3 I have shot, none have had problems, and all fed just fine.

If you haven't pulled the trigger, do it.  Great little gun.  Very accurate.  Sorry for. The pun :chuckle:

I have had one for a few years now and it is okay. I did put a new HiViz front sight on it (green) and for my tired old eyes it really made a difference! Really have had no issues with it so far. I have it in a bulldog holster that is equipped with a additional mag holder. If you do have any issues with it Ruger will take care of your gun!

This could possibly explain why my 22/45 Lite runs perfectly fine and my sisters doesn't.  When I put the VQ trigger kit in my 22/45 Lite I'm pretty sure I removed the LCI.
