Going to get my bow out and dust it off after a couple year hiatus and want to upgrade to a full containment rest. I'm looking for suggestions. I'm not interested in a whisker biscuit. Any advice or insight would be appreciated.
It's a Hoyt Alphamax 32 if that matters.
Thanks in advance.

Im a big fan of the QAD (quality archery design) ultra rest HDX. Take a look.

Another vote for QAD HDX. I've went through limb drivers and multiple trophy taker rests and I like the QAD best by far.
The LD model QAD is also a great option if you want to save about $30. It has the exact same internals and operates the same as the HDX, it just doesn't have the curved containment bar or the cord adjustment in the thumbwheel.

I have had very good luck with my trophy takers. And currently have the Smackdown pro on my primary and the Xtreme FC on my back up. I have heard alot of great things about the QAD as well, just see no reason to change and prefer the look of the TT. I do know some rigs are easier to tune with limb driven rests, but if I remember the specs for that bow correctly I think you are good with either one. I had bad experiences with Trophy Ridge revolutions but it was first gen, so they may have fixed the issues. To bad because there were several things I liked about the design and they actually held the arrow the best of the drop aways with capture.

QAD ultra hdx is deemed the best for a good reason. :twocents:

I had the original T.R. Revolution on both of my bows and also had a bad experience with them because of vane contact. I switched both of them out for the Revolution 2.0 and the vane contact problem is gone. It's a great total containment rest in my book and a good price to boot.

Love my Rip Cord Code Red. They have great customer service. I bought mine used from a friend, after a couple weeks on my bow, (he had shot the crap out of it for a couple years) it quit working. We took it off my bow and sent it to Rip Cord. They sent him a brand new one. Which we installed on my bow. No questions asked.

I've used the rip cord code red and the QAD ultra rest hdx on my PSE's. Both work good.

No problems with mine (2011/12), I would highly recommend one. I had a QAD that did not work very well, still sitting in a box somewhere....

I've been shooting a QAD since 2005 now I think with zero problems.
