Title: Something a little different (BlackRiver Taxidermy)
Post by: BlackRiverTaxidermy on December 17, 2015, 04:21:49 PM: Just completed a custom request for a euro done with an integrated lamp. Customer shot this buck in a winter wheat field and requested similar topography to also include a fence post. Bare spot was also a request for a place for him (customer) to place his coffee cup as the display will be sitting next to his recliner. Had a lot of fun designing and making the habitat. The base is 3/4 plywood with a high-density foam 1/2" sheet glued/stapled to the wood base. This allows for the rock mix to be added to the shaped/carved foam to add texture; its then followed by adhesive that is put over the whole thing then drizzled with dirt. Lots of other/additional work to it, but don't want to bore with details.

That is cool thanks for sharing it looks amazing I really like the piece.
