Not chesp is the Echo Meat hanger double reed. Do yourself a favor and get a quality single reed and learn how to use it. RMC CWF I'd a great call.

Zink atm green machine (double) or Nothing but green (single) you could go with the poly carb. Cheaper version (50 bucks) and sounds just as good in my opinion as the acylic expensive version. As I have both. The poly carb just isn't as durable, but haven't had any problems with mine yet  :twocents: :twocents:

Single reeds arnt easy to blow. You can do more trick/cool calling with a single reed if your good enough.  Start with a double. Learn the basics and buy a nice single after your dialed on double reeds.

I think a Buck Gardner's double nasty will meet both your requirements of easy to use and financially prudent aka cheap.

It's the best sounding one I have and it was $24.  It's a double reed call.
