I can picture Bruce carrying that critter around in his front shirt pocket.

Cute!
:yeah: until he decides to turn the fogger on. :chuckle:

He wouldn't even make a mitten, what use is he until he grows big enough to skin. :yike:

Scary. Darn scary beast :)

So true! Those critters are the worst! Most folks have no idea how bad they smell because they've never been near one and only a few trappers have dared to skin one. :bdid:
I wonder though - would they make a good pet if the sack was removed?........

Tame bred and descented skunks are said to make great pets, sort of like fat fluffy cats, you can train them etc.. they like to get into things they shouldn't though so they have to have a safe area to be in. I've honestly wanted a pet one for a while but illegal in WA.

Never had one in my pocket. Do I smell that bad? :dunno:
I did have one eating on a beaver while I was skinning it (the beaver not the civet) one time though.
It was living under the house and would come out while I was skinning in the back room every night to fill up. It got pretty tame. I had it sitting on my foot once. It never did spray.
I think they would make a great pet.
