For several years I have been able to post pictures to hunt nw directly from my iPad. Now there must have been some 'improvement' to hunt nw because I get a message that I'm sending In the wrong format. I downloaded a converter to change my pictures to jpg (approved by hunt nw) but I still get the same 'wrong format' message with the converted pictures.
Anyone else posting pictures an iPad successfully? I appreciate any advice.

I post them from "my photo stream" on iPad the other files dont always work.
-
I used to be able to post pics too but now can't. So had to use tapatalk to get pics to go through. Not sure what happened.
-
What software version do you guys have that are having trouble uploading pics? I'm a few updates behind and can post pics so maybe thats it.
-
iOS 9.2

iOS 9.2
Shouldn't we all be on ios 9.2 if we update when it available.
-
The problem is Apple now names their photos ".jpeg" instead of ".jpg" and this forum software does not yet recognize the ".jpeg" means ".jpg". Hopefully forum software will be fixed and forum upgraded soon.
-
Hmmm, I was wondering about the jpg / jpeg terminology. That seemed too simple, and of course Apple doesn't make it easy to change photo ID. Hope the webmaster gets it straightened out soon.

As far as I know. That was my most recent update.

Posting a photo from tapatalk. (https://hunting-washington.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.tapatalk-cdn.com%2F16%2F01%2F05%2F1f0259e7785c898debbd849f807f38cf.jpg&hash=af85655d7395a7d5b717cf9397801b629ff4ff11)

Beautiful buck. Nice to see tapa talk worked for you. Little harder to get used to viewing everything in general so I just use it when posting pics. But it's a method that has been working for me so hope it helps you for posting in the future.
-
Thanks for the help. Looks like I'll spend some time getting used to tapatalk.

This is what I'm hoping for too. I occasionally get good trail cam pics that I want to post from my iPad but it's not worth the effort to jump through hoops to post them.

I talked to the guys from the server company today and am awaiting another response. I think we can fix this on our own. I honestly just have to figure out where the fix is located but I think it is on our end and not the server or SMF's end. I'll probably not be able to do it tonight but hopefully tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Thanks jackelope. I've had to screenshot every picture and then post. Hopefully won't have to anymore soon
-
Somebody try it and tell me if I fixed it. I'm on Tapatalk and don't have any problems.

I see that it works now for pictures I actually take with my iPad but it still doesn't work for pictures I download from my game cam to the iPad. Dang. Oh well, it's still a step in the right direction. Thanks, Jackelope. :)

Nice. It worked. Thanks for helping fix this jackelope. Greatly appreciated and makes me want to post more due to more simplicity.

99.9% guarantee you that is a sizing issue with your photos. The site will not load photos bigger than 800x800.
Resize and try again.

Thanks. I'll try changing the setting on my game can to resize pics as they are taken as you suggested in your PM.

Don't change your game cam settings, keep those full file for best image, just resize them in post processing.

That was my first choice but I tried to figure out how to resize the pic on my iPad once it was loaded from the camera and the only edit settings I could find were for brightness, color, etc. Anyone know how I can resize without having to upload to a website or download a new program? There's gotta be a way to handle resizing on the iPad itself, right?

I'm sure there's an app for that, although I don't know of one specific that I would recommend.
If you use the Tapatalk app for forum use, it will resize for you. Or at least give you the option of what size you want to use.

Ok, here goes... Direct from the iPad.

Yeeehaaa! It worked! Thanx Mr. Jack Elope! Glad I started this thread.
