Just curious if anyone has had luck in clearcuts for coyotes? Ive certainly seen their sign on the logging roads so I know they are around.

Thanks folks! I found this article (among a few others) that answered my question too. I've only ever hunted them in fields and they have gotten wise to my calling at the farm I usually hunt on so I figured I'd give it a break and head up into the hills.

I haven't set up much in cuts. Good question. Their tracks are all over the woods so I would imagine no different. The one time I set up in a cut I went back to my seat and was range finding stuff while the decoy spun. I heard a deer blow off to my right just then a coyote came between myself and the call headed straight for decoy. It was so strange I didn't even turn on the remote yet! I never went back to that spot even tho I shot the Yote.
