Hi guys,
We'll be putting on our first shoot of 2016 on April 9th, here is a link https://www.facebook.com/events/1730342590533703/
We'll keep score but just for fun, but we will likely raffle off a bow with one of the novelty shots. If you have shot our courses before most of you will be glad to know I am toning it back a bit. 2/3 will be much easier and family friendly but we'll still have a VERY tough course for you hard core shooters. Should be great fun and we'd love the support.
Thanks guys,
Joe

I also wanted to add that there will be great shots for traditional shooters as well, I'll be hitting the course with a stickbow so you trad guys will get some fun shots from the short stakes as well.

Great course to shoot.
-
Sounds like it could be fun. Never done anything like this.

This is a fun course to shoot!

Is there a place for camping nearby? Dry camping it's fine.
-
Yes, there are two camp grounds right on the canyon road and of course there is Red's fly shop! I'm pretty sure the camp grounds are dry open year round. Hope this helps.

I made it over last year for a shoot couple shots were pretty tricky. If you can make this shoot I'd go lots of fun.
-
Be fun to go to a new shoot but my shooting partner works on saturdays. Hmmm...
-
If you fancy yourself a western bowhunter, you DO NOT want to miss this shoot. Should be green and Purdy up there in April.
-
Great shoot, went last year. I'll definitely be there!
-
I've never been to one of these because I don't fancy the laughter I would expect but it sounds fun.

Don't even sweat it brother! This isn't your typical target shooter type shoot. Shoot from where you're comfortable, use your rangefinder, and just have fun

You don't have to shoot both days, just come shoot a round on Sunday. Its not very crowded at all and you will like the course.

Here is the official shoot flyer. PLEASE pass it along even if you can't come. I am just getting started doing shoots and would love to have a few more players. These shoots have never been even remotely crowded and no backups at targets.

Never been there. If I'm not busy that weekend, I'm going. :IBCOOL:
How do you qualify to win the bow.

last year when I went I believe you shot at a steel target if you made it in you got a ticket if you hit steel no ticket.

challenge course. It isn't for everyone, shots will be 40-80 yards and tough.
Do these shots include Trad or do we shoot from the sissy stakes.

Joe would have to answer this as I don't know if he will have seperate stakes for trad/youth/women/etc, but the score keeping is more of a just for fun thing than a "winner" thing. If you aren't comfortable with a shot, don't take it, or get to a distance you are comfortable with. If I know Joe, he already has a plan hashed out though. He is shooting a trad bow himself this year.
We blew the dust off the bows yesterday and shot some targets up there as a group, and the course is gonna be a good one when he finishes getting it set up.

Just a friendly bump! We are two weeks away from hiking some hills and pounding some foam!
This was from the other weekend. 89 yard shot on the mutton buster! Nice little cross wind going. It's touching steel but it's in the foam :chuckle:

What is the best way to get there from Tri-Cities? We'll be up to shoot Saturday....

Just come up I-82 to Exit 26 Canyon Road, drive north from there on Canyon Road (Hwy 821) for about 15 miles and you'll find the shoot between Mile Marker 14 and 15. Parking at the shoot entrance is limited, so drop your crew off at the entrance (easy to spot), park at the resort and jump in the shuttle suburban. Just takes a few minutes and your car won't be out on the highway. Thanks so much, we look forward to seeing you.

We'll have trad stakes buddy! I am all stickbow this time around and it will be totally reasonable. 25 - 40 yards on the challenge course for stick bow guys. Thanks! Joe Rotter

You'll buy a shot for $10, make the shot on the steel "Mutton Buster" Ram and you get in the drawing. Hit the multiplier dot in the heart... and you'll receive many tickets! Not sure how many, gotta see how we set it up and we'll go from there. Likely a multiplier of 5x or 10x. Its really fun, super casual and a great group of folks that hit our shoot. Thanks in advance.

We put up most of the course today, its going to be a great shoot guys. The Challenge Course is the highlight for all the serious shooters, even some of the best archers will struggle a bit to hit targets. Nothing like pushing the envelope a bit to make all the other stuff feel like a chip shot.
Traditional Shooters will have some great stakes. I'll be shooting the entire course with my recurve tomorrow and will be putting everything 15-30 yards for the stickbow crew. Even if you can't make it, perhaps mention it to a few friends. We worked very hard to simulate some of the most lifelike shots we can. The bedded bucks are VERY good.

:drool:just spent the afternoon shooting 60 and up, which is not part of my normal routine but knew what Saturday would hold!! Can't wait! Thanks for the work in putting this on!

Hey guys, we won't be shooting Sunday so before I forget I just want thank everyone who worked to get that course together!! That was a Bad A shoot today. What a blast it was and the challenge course was everything and then some. I only exploded one arrow today but that things was eating Em up!
Anyone who has a free Sunday tommorrow and can make it over with the bow I highly suggest lacing it up and stretch some cables out there!
Good job fellas and thanks again!

Man I wish I could make it. Home renovations unfortunately are taking priority. Sounds like fun.

Joe and the guys did a fantastic job with these courses and with the weather they ordered up!! Have to make this a regular shoot whenever possible!
