Title: Shot in the dark, but...
Post by: Nibornos on January 16, 2016, 11:54:06 PM: I am looking to buy my first bow, however 90% of my funds are Cabela's gift cards. After a trip to Cabela's and bad customer service I really do not want to buy my bow from them. Everything I have read and been told my local bow shop would be best.

If anyone shops at Cabela's often and would buy my gift cards. You can either meet me at Cabelas and use my gift cards to buy one gift card so only you will know the new gift card, or meet up and you can do it online.

I would stress for it to be brand new in a box maybe. I've seen big box stores just restring and put a dry fired bow right back on display... while I know that dry firing doesn't always mess things up, Im not paying new price for something thats been mishandled.

Every bow that was at my store Iand I saw it fired or after inspection had a thought it was I had sent back to the factory. But that is just how I ran it. I'd personally want a bow in box from them and I think I'd go with the quest binary bow they carry. :twocents:

I personally, have had good luck with the guys in the archery department (Lacey store) for some bow work (wasn't one of their bows but my Alpine).

If you're completely against doing business at your local Cabelas, you could still go in and shoot some bows you may be interested in and then buy what you like on line with your gift cards. Setting up a bow isn't that hard. Order your bow, rest, sights, etc., and get your arrows at a local pro shop. Just an option. Heck, you already have the Cabelas gift cards in hand! If word gets out you don't like them, you may not get any more birthday or Xmas gift cards from your family and friends :o

Yep.
Use the cards for arrows and other accessories or tools.
