Anyone use them on their shotguns?
Pros and cons
Thanks

What state?

I've used a red dot on one before. I like them. They help to concentrate the pattern of your gun without having to aim high or low. That's usually a stock fit issue I guess, but the sight will help. If it's for the kids if definitely recommend it.

Washington
Thanks jackelope it is for my daughters

I use an Aimpoint red dot on mine, because the bead doesn't line up with the densest part of the pattern.

I have a 2-7 on an 870. I love it. I actually sighted in the shotgun.

Red dots are non magnifying, you can put the dot in the densest part of the patt n.

Thanks for the input guys I'm trying to give my daughters all the help possible they are very excited to go.

I shoot a red dot also as of last year and love it. I'll never go back. I'm creeping up towards 40 birds in this state and the last two where a couple of the most fun with that sight. Don't listen to cryder,he's talking out of his erskin!

Turned my Benelli Nova into my Turkey Gun. I love it. Really puts the pattern exactly where you want it. I also added a Limb saver recoil pad to tame the 3 1/2 shells and a cheek pad to help align my eye to the scope.
