Title: Looking for an ELR scope.
Post by: WoodlandShooter on January 21, 2016, 02:01:10 PM
UGH, well, maybe some you guys can help.

This is going on a 338LM rifle will have a 20 MOA base

going to try and push some 275 CEB to 2900 FPS, and also some 300 Bergers to 2800.

End Goal is 1 mile to possibly 2000 yards.

Magnification on the big end, 25x to 30x

Looking for something with over 30Mils of elevation travel

oh, and I don't want to pay all that much...heh heh

I've been eyeballing one of those for a while but I've just never followed through. I keep coming back to my Mk 4s though. FWIW My buddy ran his 338 Edge with the 300gr Bergers @ 2825 fps to 2000 yards with a 20 MOA base, Burris Signature rings with 20 MOA in the rings and an NXS scope. You'd save a couple bucks by picking up a used NF NXS for around $1400.

Sightron SIII 6-24x50 mil/mil has over 29 mils.  Excellent value, glass, and tracking.  Should be around $750.
