Title: Finally some sea ducks
Post by: lokidog on January 24, 2016, 04:10:29 PM
Got two juvenile Scoters and a nice Oldsquaw drake today.  We'll be having Salasbury Duck with the Scoters and I'm going to marinate and grill the Oldsquaw.

Very nice! I've gone bluebill hunting once and I loved it! One of these days I'll have to hunt ducks like these :D

These ducks were so much better than the Goldeneye a while back. The grilled Oldsquaw was a little tough, I'll probably throw them in the grind for the Salisbury duck in the future.  My son ate three of the seven patties I made and says he wants this for Thanksgiving next year.  :chuckle:
